Why Maldives?
The theme is derived from Maldives which is famous for its clear water and white sand. However, this beautiful island may not exist in the future due to the changes in the climate. In order to create the awareness of the island and showing the beautiful sights of the country, the team decided to take Maldives as theme of the restaurant. Also, another reason of which Maldives was chosen is because it is placed in the eighth position during the year 2009’s top ten holiday destination.
Why Tivu?
The word Maldivian, meaning citizen of Maldives, is used for the creation of the restaurant name. Maldivian, derived from the classic Tamil, stands for Malaitivu, where ‘Malai’ means mountain and ‘Tivu’ means island. Not only will it be easily remembered and pronounced, 'Tivu' also represents the importance of the island.
